Stop the bus- a spontaneous operation against the deportation of foreign workers from Israel.
This a a spontaneous attempt by Israeli citizens to release illegal foreign workers and possibly, refugees from Africa, from a bus, after they were captured by the new unit, OZ, of the Ministry of Interior Affairs. The older protestor witnesses that she was a holocaust survival, two years of age, when the French "only deported us to the Germans, they didn't do anything bad to us, just gave us to the Germans". The members of the unit, with the help of the Police and the border control used an excess level of violence against the protestors. Latter, the bus succeeded to escape the protestors and then was located and stopped again, but this time a higher level of violence was used and the bus managed to get through.
There is a growing level of opposition within Israel to the deportation policy of the government, and in particular, to the fact that the government deports and at the same time, allows employers to "import" new labor. There "Human Resources Companies" are said to make dozens of thousands dollars on each new worker they import. Thus, the"revolving door" policy, in which the government allows to illegalize many workers only to import new ones is extremely profitable. To support the deportation, officials use the cynical rhetoric of accusing the foreign workers in the growing levels of unemployment, ignoring the fact that it is the same government that constantly gives new permits for the industry to import new cheap labor from abroad.
